BBC Afrique is seeking a broadcast journalist to provide specialist and general coverage of events and trends in the region for BBC Afrique, the wider BBC Africa team and other BBC outlets.
The successful candidate will originate, select and prepare program material for broadcast. The reporter will work closely with editors and producers in Africa and London.
Applicants should have considerable experience in broadcast journalism and an ability to broadcast both in French and English. Applicants should also have wide, up-to-date familiarity with southern Africa, along with an in-depth understanding of the area’s history, politics, social issues and culture.
Experience with breaking news is a plus.
