Research fellowship for journalists offered [Worldwide]

Journalists specializing in ancient studies, archaeology or history can apply.

The Excellence Cluster Topoi, a research association of Freie Universität Berlin and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, is accepting proposals from journalists for its one- to three-month “Journalist in Residence” fellowship.

Participants will have the opportunity to observe interdisciplinary research projects in action, study how new technologies are being applied in ancient studies, attend conferences and seminars, and conduct research using the libraries and other resources of participating institutions.

Journalists will receive a research stipend in the amount of EUR3,500 and workspace. They will be expected to lead an internal event on a subject involving science and media.

Candidates must speak either German or English. Applications should include a CV, three to five work samples, a letter of recommendation, and a research project proposal.

The deadline is Feb. 15.
