Portuguese-speaking African journalists who cover the economy can attend this course in Maputo, Mozambique.
The course, offered by the Thomson Reuters Foundation in partnership with the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation
(NORAD), is designed to help journalists in Portuguese-speaking African
countries to improve the quality of their reporting on financial and
economic issues. It will take place August 6-10.
Participants will engage in practical exercises and live reports
under the motto "learning by doing," along with detailed briefings and
discussions.
Applicants must be full-time journalists, have at least two years of
professional experience, speak Portuguese and demonstrate dedication to
journalism in their respective countries.
Scholarships may include travel and accommodation, as well as tuition.
