Midcareer journalists from Angola, Botswana, DRC, Lesotho, Malawi,
Namibia, Mozambique, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe can apply for this
course.
The Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA) and the Department of Media Technology at the Polytechnic of Namibia invite applications to their second annual Journalism Summer School (JSS).
The goal of JSS is to prepare journalists for career movement within
the newsroom and to provide a platform to reflect on their years of
practice/experience.
Senior reporters with a minimum of five years’ journalism experience
but not more than ten years are eligible. Knowledge of English is
required.
Applicants must send a resume not exceeding two pages in length, two
stories published over the past twelve months, and a letter of
commitment from the editor or publisher.
The deadline is Sept. 11.
