English-speaking journalists in Africa can attend this course in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The course, offered by the Thomson Reuters Foundation,
is designed to strengthen students' reporting on financial and economic
topics by developing their understanding and skills. It takes place
Nov. 4 – 8.
Applicants must be professional journalists or regular contributors
working in African print, broadcast or online media organizations in
English.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a commitment to a career in
journalism in their country, and have at least two years of professional
experience. Scholarships may include travel and accommodation, as well
as tuition.
The deadline is Oct. 1.
