Thomson Reuters is seeking a correspondent to cover East Africa.
The correspondent will handle breaking news and also write insightful in-depth analyses and investigative pieces. The job requires traveling at short notice around the region, and the patience and perseverance to deal with obstructive authorities and erratic communications. Other tasks include editing stringer copy from around the region.
The successful candidate will have strong and proven writing and editing skills, at least three years of reporting experience, knowledge of commodities markets, and a proven track record of cultivating sources and breaking news.
Fluent French is a plus.
